FlowCAM® particle imaging and analysis instrumentation models from laboratory instrumentation manufacturer Fluid Imaging Technologies, of Yarmouth, Maine, now feature the company’s new VisualSpreadsheet© V2.4 particle image analysis software and the latest, high-resolution camera.

Included pre-loaded on the FlowCAM Benchtop, Portable, Submersible, V-1000 and Birefringent XPL models and on the PetroCAM model for oil analysis, the new proprietary software and hardware combination multiplies the FlowCAM’s renowned particle and microorganism imaging capabilities by a further fifty percent. Capturing 50% more pixels in the field of view, the advances reveal correspondingly more information per image with greater visual clarity while yielding more accurate measurements and more definitive, actionable characterization data.

Intended for use in marine research, water quality monitoring, product quality assurance and other applications where understanding the true size and shape of particles and microorganisms is fundamental, the FlowCAM takes hi-resolution, digital images of individual particles and microscopic organisms, measures each one based on dozens of measurement parameters and saves the images and data for identification, analysis and collaborative review via the VisualSpreadsheet V2.4 software. Based on an Excel spreadsheet, the powerful software is intuitively easy to use and may be retrofitted on particle analyzer models currently running legacy versions in the field.
