PoreLogix expandable Ultrafiltration System

Porelogix Ultrafiltration Systems, LLC and Algae.Tec, Ltd. have announced the successful implementation of an advanced ultrafiltration algae extraction system. The yearlong collaborative effort between Algae.Tec’s research and development team and Porelogix engineers resulted in a scalable system that, they say, surpasses current industry standards.

“Heading into our 6th month of algae processing, the Porelogix system has far exceeded our expectations for our dewatering process. The innovative capabilities of the Porelogix technology to separate and collect the algae, coupled with the system’s small physical and power footprint, allows us to produce a higher yield at a lower cost with superior product quality,” said James Winfield, project engineer at Algae.Tec.

Located at Algae.Tec’s facility in Atlanta, Ga., the Porelogix system harvests up to 50 tons of algae per year with ability to produce and test multiple algal strains for nutraceutical applications.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, Porelogix Ultrafiltration Systems, LLC is an OEM manufacturer of industrial water treatment systems.
